A 4.4-inch/111.76 mm bore spacing with a 4.1-inch/104.25 mm bore continues the rich heritage of the Chevrolet Small Block engine. A continuously variable pressure pump together with six oil scavenge stages ensures optimum oil supply for outstanding track performance.
FLAT-PLANE CRANKSHAFT
The flat-plane crankshaft provides balanced airflow between the cylinder banks and low rotational inertia. Lightweight forged titanium connecting rods and low-profile forged pistons allow the engine to rev quickly and reach high rpm.
DOHC VALVETRAIN
Titanium intake valves with dual valve springs provide precise valve control at high engine speeds for optimum track performance.
CYLINDER HEADS
The intake and exhaust ports and combustion chambers are CNC-machined to improve airflow, giving the Z06 race-car-level control over engine breathing and combustion.
AIR INTAKE
Twin throttle bodies and tri-mode runner valves increase airflow and optimise engine breathing at high rpm.

Downforce elements, the rear wing, interchangeable wing extensions, brake cooling ducts and front wheel-arch flares improve aerodynamics and downforce, giving the Z06 stability on the track.
